A little Christmas treat for you all! Just filmed some live acoustic session songs for my YouTube channel including original festive song ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ which was recently played on BBC Suffolk Introducing and BBC Radio Norfolk. I also played two older songs as special requests – ‘Turn Away’ and ‘When You Come Home’ – it’s been really nice to revisit some of my older material. Had a lovely time returning to BBC Radio Norfolk at The Forum to be the studio guest of Keith Greentree on The Big Country Show. We had a great chat talking all things country and favourite artists such as Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss. Two of my tracks were also played.

Just had a great time filming at the BBC, playing guitar for Breeze on a special acoustic festive cover. You’ll be able to see the performance on the 22nd December just before The One Show on BBC Look East and West at around 6.50pm. It was lovely being in the very festive BBC Introducing studio and thanks so much to Look East for having us.

As mentioned last time, I’m honoured to have a track on beautiful charity compilation Postcards For Peace among many wonderful artists including Linda Thompson, Kris DreverPeggy SeegerBoo HewerdineHothouse Flowers. Also features ‘Courage’ (piano version) the debut single I wrote for Breeze Redwine. It is officially released next February but you can buy it now from the PFP website and all money will go directly back into the charity. Would make a great Christmas present! So wonderful it managed to raise the funds needed.

It’s been a really productive time this past month as I’ve been in the studio recording some songs which I can’t wait to share with you! I’ve recorded a few songs with Jose McGill who is the singer and guitarist of renowned band The Vagaband and he has been adding some lovely subtle instrumentation. Noel Dashwood, who recently performed with me at OPEN when we supported Eliza Carthy, has also contributed his wonderful dobro as well as ukulele, harmonies and harmonica. The mixes are already sounded great and I’ve posted some little video clips from the studio on my Instagram
Also I’ve been writing my music column for the Evening News. All my music activities plus previewing great gigs and live music.
