Have some lovely summer shows and festivals coming up. Performing on Friday 8th May as part of 1.3 East Cromer Fringe Festival alongside Folk on the Pier. I’ll be at the Clifftonville Hotel at 6pm.
Then I’ll be part of the line up for the Big Day Out at the beautiful Aldeburgh Festival/Britten Pears Arts. Performing on the Fisher Gin stage from 1:30 pm as part of an afternoon showcasing sets from East Anglian musicians covering Americana, vibrant country pop, folk and high-energy rock. Details here

It was such an honour to assist with the wonderful Silver Wings exhibition in September and to meet so many amazing people with moving, heartfelt stories to share. So important to commemorate such a historic time and acknowledge the sacrifices made.
The next music event I’m running at the American Library is a joyful and uplifting Christmas singalong. Join me on Monday 22nd December at 1pm to get together to sing some festive classics. Following my VE Day performance at the Millennium Library in May, I’m looking forward to running a fun 1940s Singalong and social event for the American Library – Memorial to the 2nd Air Division, USAAF on Friday 19th September as part of Silver Wings – The US Army Air Forces in WWII Norfolk Exhibition.
The free, ten day event will be exploring Norfolk’s rich wartime history and is presented as part of Norfolk Heritage Open Days and celebrates the end of the Second World War.
There will also be talks, art and craft events, historic walks, a street party, exhibition and much more. Further details on the American Library website.

I recently played a lovely gig at The Reindeer Norwich. Thanks so much to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely night. It was so nice to finally share the stage with the sublime The Weeping Willows on the first night of their UK tour which included sets at Maverick Festival. It was so rewarding to teach my first beginner guitar and ukulele courses at Wensum Lodge for Adult learning this summer term and to receive wonderful feedback from learners who had enjoyed the courses. I will be teaching beginner courses again this September so any budding guitarists and ukulele players please check out the dates and details on the Norfolk County Council website

I’ve been busy with a few creative projects and excited that I have written an original song for Future Radio in Norwich. The photo above is from a video shoot for the #fundraising single release. “This Fine City” will be released to coincide with #LocalRadioDay & features a host of talented friends and artists from Norfolk. I love to collaborate on music projects and also to perform other artists’s material – it really inspires me and my own writing – so I’ve really enjoyed interpreting this lovely, heartfelt song written by Kate Raison, a talented songwriter who I met during Chris Difford’s Songwriting Retreat last year.
