It was such an honour to assist with the wonderful Silver Wings exhibition in September and to meet so many amazing people with moving, heartfelt stories to share. So important to commemorate such a historic time and acknowledge the sacrifices made.

It was a lot of fun playing some spooky classics at the American Library – Memorial to the 2nd Air Division, USAAF for a creative craft Halloween event.

The next music event I’m running at the American Library is a joyful and uplifting Christmas singalong. Join me on Monday 22nd December at 1pm to get together to sing some festive classics. This free event is welcome to singers of all ages, fully accessible, and no singing experience is required! Booking required via Eventbrite.

I will also be performing live on Saturday 6th December as part of an Adnams big festive tasting event on Unthank Road, Norwich.

Come along and sing some festive songs with me, plus sample delicious seasonal wine, beer, spirits and food.

1940s Singalong Event for Silver Wings

Join me for a fun 1940s Singalong a the Forum Norwich!

Following my VE Day performance at the Millennium Library in May, I’m looking forward to running a fun 1940s Singalong and social event for the American Library – Memorial to the 2nd Air Division, USAAF on Friday 19th September as part of Silver Wings – The US Army Air Forces in WWII Norfolk Exhibition.

The free, ten day event will be exploring Norfolk’s rich wartime history and is presented as part of Norfolk Heritage Open Days and celebrates the end of the Second World War.

There will also be talks, art and craft events, historic walks, a street party, exhibition and much more. Further details on the American Library website.

Gig announcement! Looking forward to performing on Sunday 6th July at The Reindeer, Norwich. Can’t wait to share a stage again with my wonderful talented friends The Weeping Willows who will be on a UK tour. I recently played a lovely gig at The Reindeer Norwich. Thanks so much to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely night. It was so nice to finally share the stage with the sublime The Weeping Willows on the first night of their UK tour which included sets at Maverick Festival. I also have some lovely festivals and events coming up including Reepham Festival on Sunday August 7th. It will be great to be back at this wonderful festival and I’m performing at the historic Whitwell Station from 2pm. More details and ticket info here

Looking ahead to September and I’m excited to be performing at the award-winning Brisley Pub for Brisley Live – a weekend of live music, comedy and theatre. I will be playing on Saturday September 10th. Further details and tickets here

It was so rewarding to teach my first beginner guitar and ukulele courses at Wensum Lodge for Adult learning this summer term and to receive wonderful feedback from learners who had enjoyed the courses. I will be teaching beginner courses again this September so any budding guitarists and ukulele players please check out the dates and details on the Norfolk County Council website

My first headline show in a long, long time is next month. Performing in Beccles, Suffolk for Martello Promotions who promote the finest acoustic music in the North Suffolk area. I’ve been continuing to record and perform live acoustic covers for Rob Butler’s show on BBC Radio Norfolk. Some of them have been uploaded to my SoundCloud page and here’s a live video of me playing Bruce Springsteen’s anthem ‘Dancing in the Dark’

My various creative activities have included doing some more writing for Songwriting Magazine. My my recent feature is a review of Gary Barlow’s songwriting course for BBC Maestro. Check out the review here

I’ve also been doing some acting! It’s been really fun to be part of the cast for various shows including a history and music documentary series. Will be sure to reveal more details when they are broadcast. More photos on my Instagram

Fundraising Single for Future Radio, Collaboration Projects

I’ve been busy with a few creative projects and excited that I have written an original song for Future Radio in Norwich. The photo above is from a video shoot for the #fundraising single release. “This Fine City” will be released to coincide with #LocalRadioDay & features a host of talented friends and artists from Norfolk. More news soon!

I love to collaborate on music projects and also to perform other artists’s material – it really inspires me and my own writing – so I’ve really enjoyed interpreting this lovely, heartfelt song written by Kate Raison, a talented songwriter who I met during Chris Difford’s Songwriting Retreat last year.
