BBC Radio Feature, Summer Shows

It’s been lovely to chat to Louise Hulland on BBC Radio as part of a new monthly feature where I’ll be talking all things country music – the artists and songs to know, plus new releases, upcoming gigs and festivals. For the second episode, where I’m celebrating some of the exciting female artists in country music, listen from 0:40 via BBC Sounds.

Have some lovely summer shows and festivals coming up. Performing on Friday 8th May as part of 1.3 East Cromer Fringe Festival alongside Folk on the Pier. I’ll be at the Clifftonville Hotel at 6pm.

Then I’ll be part of the line up for the Big Day Out at the beautiful Aldeburgh Festival/Britten Pears Arts. Performing on the Fisher Gin stage from 1:30 pm as part of an afternoon showcasing sets from East Anglian musicians covering Americana, vibrant country pop, folk and high-energy rock. Details here

Also looking forward to returning to one of my favourite festivals, Reepham Festival. Performing Saturday August 8th at 12.30 pm on the main Finnbar’s Force stage.

Finnbar’s Force are a dedicated children’s cancer charity focused on empowering children and their families across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

From the website: Don’t miss seeing the wonderful Lisa Redford live at the Reepham Festival!

Based in Norfolk and described by legendary BBC broadcaster Bob Harris as “one of our finest singer/songwriters”, Lisa’s music is a beautiful blend of country, folk and Americana. Having toured the UK, Europe and performed in New York alongside world-class musicians, she will be bringing her memorable melodies and stunning vocals to the Reepham Festival stage in August.
