Live Video from NYC Radio Session ~ Brand New Song ‘Dreaming in Crowds’
Check out this live video from a session on NY Radio Show, brand new song ‘Dreaming in Crowds’. Also just had a GREAT 2 days’ recording in Brooklyn adding cello, double bass, brushes, percussion, keyboards and piano. I’ve now finished 4 new songs with the incredibly talented Jeff Hill. Jeff has worked with two of my favourite songwriters Neal Casal and Teddy Thompson and is in one of my favourite bands Hazy Malaze. He has also worked with Rufus Wainwright, Regina Spektor and is also currently recording Erin Mckeown. As well as my acoustic style, we have added some cello, double bass, brushes, percussion, keyboards and beautiful piano. As mentioned before, I have also recorded some new songs with the equally talented drummer and dear friend Dan Fadel, also in Hazy Malaze. I’m so excited about these new songs and can’t wait to share them with you!
World Premiere of ‘Q to the 6 Train’ Film Featuring My Original Score Wednesday September 7th!
As you know, I was chosen to write the music for a beautiful US short film ‘Q to the 6 Train’ and its world premiere has been announced for Wednesday September 7th in NYC. From the press release by film maker G Rodriguez:
It will play on September 7th at 6pm in a block with two other films. All the films playing have a 9/11 theme, and I think will represent the voice of the generation that’s grown up these past 10 years. Right now Q To the 6 Train is scheduled to be played first, though these things always change. There will be a small reception beforehand.
The event is at The Anthology Film Archives, 32 Second Avenue (at 2nd St.) in Manhattan. NewFilmmakers charges a standard admission of $6 that lasts the whole evening, meaning you can watch one film or as many as 12 with just that
