Hectic but really fun weekend performing at C2C Country to Country saw lots of great live music and as last year there was such a lovely warm atmosphere and it was amazing to see how busy it was. Thanks so much to everyone who came along to my set at the Saloon and signing to say hi! Hope you enjoyed the special EP. Thanks also to W21 Music and Jeff G Photography for taking some great shots.

I’ve posted quite a few videos from my performance. Following on from last year, here’s another fun little highlights video I’ve put together  with a clip of ‘Carolina Rain’ what a weekend!

Hi from NYC! June 2009

Hello everyone and hope that you’re all doing well. Writing here from my new ‘home’ NYC! As many of you know, I earned a much sought after publishing deal with very respected publishers here. It’s been very exciting and I am working on new material and meeting other writers and musicians. I have already recorded two new songs with Dan Fadel, member of the terrific band and another Bob Harris fave, Hazy Malaze, that I’m absolutely thrilled with. It’s taken a little while getting myself all settled plus all the work promoting Clouds with Silver, which I did all myself, was a lot of hard work but as ever I’ll keep you posted on my news. Thanks again for all the support of Clouds with Silver and my other albums, podcasts across the world continuing to play tunes and those who regularly write with kind words, I so appreciate it..special thanks too to Clive from Alive with Clive for featuring my track ‘Live Your Life’ on his latest blog. https://cliveswersky.wordpress.com/

Songs on Compilation CDs

Access to Music is the UK’s leading designer and provider of popular music education, training and consultancy. My song ‘When You Come Home’ is featured on the new Atom Sounds: One CD which showcases the music of ex students and those in particular whohave gained success and professional acclaim. Details here:

Awhile ago I provided harmonies on a terrific song ‘When Your Lips Move’ by Americanasongwriter and artist Quiet Loner. The instrumentation is provided by my fantastic steel player Alan Cook. Excitingly, it will be track 3 on What’s Kickin Vol 4 which is released byStovepony Records. These are the CD’s of the What’s Cookin’ night in London. The CD will come out June 17th and has national distribution through Cargo – which means it should be in shops and on i-tunes etc. They usually do a great job on promotion and previous CDs have had radio play on Radio 2.

I am featured in the February issue of ‘Acoustic Magazine’ – the UK’s number 1 dedicated acoustic guitar magazine.  Alongside features on Bryan Adams and Seasick Steve, Idiscusses my songwriting, playing, love of acoustic guitars and tips on being an independent artist.

From the press release:
‘The limited edition album includes the original live studio versions of the songs from Lost Again*. Beautifully recorded, the songs truly reveal Lisa’s soulful and powerful voice with just acoustic guitar and touches of mandolin and is a wonderful chance to hear the songs from Lost Again in their original form (as heard in the ‘Why’ promo video). The album excludes Lisa’s acclaimed version of Neal Casal’s ’Fell on Hard Times’ which was a live studio acoustic version anyway but includes a rare bonus track ‘Changing Times’.
