C2C logo

Really excited to announce I’ll be performing at Country to Country Pop-Up stages in March at the O2. Can’t wait! More info here

From their website: Following the acclaimed success of Country to Country 2013, an outstanding line up of music stars are again heading across the Atlantic for a huge two-day music festival extravaganza at The O2 on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March 2014.

Legendary broadcaster Bob Harris will again be compering the festival:

“It is a very exciting time for Country music in the UK. C2C 2013 was a fantastic experience and next year’s festival promises to be another massive milestone. I am thrilled to be compering again and providing huge coverage on ‘Bob Harris Country’ on BBC Radio 2 when Nashville comes to London. See you at The O2!”

Looks like it’s going to be a great weekend. I’ll be posting the time I’m playing in the tour section.

I’ve also just recorded a live acoustic version of Arctic Monkeys ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ as I really like the soulful quality of the track. Hope you enjoy!

Plus my latest column for Songwriting Magazine is now online! Discussing online resources for musicians. With so many sites out there, what sites and tools provide help to independent artists like myself.

A real Christmas treat hearing ‘St Benedict’s Christmas Fair’ played on Bob Harris’s show last night! Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2014! Thanks for all your support this year which really does mean a lot to me. It’s been a busy year with some very cool things happening; my first US magazine cover, ‘Dreaming in Crowds’ single played on Bob Harris’s BBC Radio 2 show, playing many festivals including Latitude, Ipswich Music Day and Homegrown, supporting and singing with the fabulous Eve Selis, plus starting my regular column for Songwriting Magazine and speaking on the panel at the AMA UK music conference before Maverick Festival.

Please check out this new music video for my Christmas single which was filmed, where else, but around historical St Benedict’s! many thanks to the very talented Claudia Taveira. Sound and Vision Conference, Latest Column, ‘Dragonfly’ in US Fundraising Video

Had a great time this weekend playing a headline slot at Norwich Sound and Vision Conference at the Bicycle Shop. Also saw lots of terrific showcases including a fantastic night hosted by the excellent music blog Alphabet Bands. It featured Wayfarers, Strangers and Curxes who I really enjoyed. Here’s me with the wonderful Tom Robinson after his set. I also saw some interesting panels and Tom gave great advice during his sessions on making money from music and funding rock n roll.

Honoured that my songs ‘Dragonfly’ and ‘So Many Words’ have been chosen for the annual promotional and fundraising video for this summer camp in Michigan. Camp Michitanki is for children who have received organ transplants and really makes a difference in their lives. Thank you guys for this beautiful video!

My latest column for Songwriting Magazine is now online. This month I discuss the songwriting process itself – with some insights into my own songwriting, plus some tips from some of my favourite writers like Dolly Parton, Burt Bacharach, Paul Simon and Neil Young! Thanks everyone for reading it and all the kind words. Any ideas for topics for future columns always appreciated.
