Lisa Redford Slipstream Parrot Records Formerly one half of the acoustic duo which bore her surname, Norfolk based Lisa Redford is now a solo artist and ‘Slipstream’ is her debut release. Quite simply she writes great songs which are the perfect vehicle for her stunningly beautiful voice and the acoustic/semi-acoustic arrangements ensure that her vocals are kept high in the mix with her crystal clear diction and phrasing there for all to hear. She has the looks and the voice of Alice Peacock about whom we have enthused in these pages and also reminds me very much of Helen Boulding, another who has made a big impression.

Whatever the comparisons Lisa Redford is yet another name to add to the list of quality female singer/songwriters who are currently making their mark and she’s right up there with the best of them.
