A huge thank you to all of you who came along to a show on my first UK headline tour. It is so appreciated and I certainly had a wonderful time. It was so nice to play longer solo sets and to play some older songs that I haven\u2019t played in awhile. The packed out shows at Amberley and Norwich were particularly amazing and thanks so much to those of you who bought CD\u2019s, I\u2019m thrilled so many of you bought the whole Lisa Redford album collection! The day before I return to New York City I will be recording my second live session and interview for the Bob Harris Show. The interview will be on the Saturday March 27th show. I also received more airplay on his March 6th show. Bob kindly mentioned my tour dates and played \u2018Fell on Hard Times\u2019 from the Lost Again album.<\/p>\n

January 2010 UK Headline Tour!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Happy new year! Hope that you\u2019re all doing well. I had a great concert in Barcelona in December and am now busy organising lots of press for my headline Spring 2010 UK tour! I will be popping back to the UK from NYC and performing solo at some lovely venues. The tour also includes a second session on The Bob Harris Show, BBC Radio 2. Excited to hear that my song \u2018Carolina Rain\u2019 (from my very first record \u2018Slipstream\u2019) has been played on\u00a0TSB\u00a0Country Radio show \u201cThe Americana Collection\u201d which reaches over 400 am\/fm stations around the world. From the response from the audience and the DJ\u2019s that listen to the show (they\u2019re told that many DO\u00a0lol) the song is a HIT!! So great to know one of my older songs is getting heard by their audience of over 2 million listeners!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been very exciting and I am working on new material and meeting other writers and musicians. Awhile ago I provided harmonies on a terrific song \u2018When Your Lips Move\u2019 by\u00a0Americanasongwriter and artist\u00a0Quiet Loner. The instrumentation is provided by my fantastic steel player Alan Cook. Excitingly, it will be track 3 on What\u2019s\u00a0Kickin\u00a0Vol\u00a04 which is released byStovepony\u00a0Records. These are the CD\u2019s of the What\u2019s\u00a0Cookin\u2019 night in\u00a0London. The CD will come out June 17th and has national distribution through Cargo \u2013 which means it should be in shops and on\u00a0i-tunes etc. They usually do a great job on promotion and previous CDs have had radio play on Radio 2.<\/p>\n

Clive will be releasing a compilation CD featuring artists that have appeared on his program with proceeds going towards the fight against AIDS in South Africa, his hometown. June \u2013 Brand new album on its way!<\/strong><\/p>\n

From my\u00a0blog\u00a0in the Slipstream newsletter\u2026Just back in the\u00a0UK\u00a0after my wonderful and productive time in\u00a0New York. My gig at the Living Room went so well, a really good and full audience (thanks to those of you who came out), I had a cool photo shoot, did a cable TV interview and show and my new recording in\u00a0Brooklyn\u00a0is done! Am so happy with how it\u2019s sounding and feel so excited about this new record. Although it is mostly me and my acoustic, I mostly played live\u00a0too,\u00a0I have some amazing players on there too. More details on it here soon!<\/p>\n

May 08 \u2013 Dragonfly featured in cool\u00a0indie\u00a0movie<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dragonfly features in new short\u00a0indie\u00a0movie \u2018Seized\u2019 filmed in LA. It has just done really well at a film festival there and is going to be pitched to the BBC too. Check out the extended trailer\u00a0here<\/p>\n

In the meantime, before the brand new album release, my previous album \u2018Lost Again \u2013 The Acoustic Sessions\u2019, is now on\u00a0iTunes\u00a0and will be on many other online stores. Check this\u00a0link<\/p>\n

From the press release:<\/em>
\n\u2018The limited edition album includes the original live studio versions of the songs from Lost Again*. Beautifully recorded, the songs truly reveal Lisa\u2019s soulful and powerful voice with just acoustic guitar and touches of mandolin and is a wonderful chance to hear the songs from Lost Again in their original form (as heard in the \u2018Why\u2019 promo video). The album excludes Lisa\u2019s acclaimed version of Neal\u00a0Casal\u2019s\u00a0\u2019Fell on Hard Times\u2019 which was a live studio acoustic version anyway but includes a rare bonus track \u2018Changing Times\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lisa returned to New York for a show at the prestigious\u00a0Kntting\u00a0Factory, for a really coolAmericana\u00a0night called \u2018Orgapalooza\u2019. I performed my acoustic cover of Ryan Adam\u2019s \u2018When the Stars Go Blue\u2019. I also played the respected\u00a0Rockwood\u00a0Music Hall\u00a0(picture below by PaulSyznol) and headlined at the lovely\u00a0Caffe\u00a0Vivaldi\u00a0in\u00a0Greenwich Village. Thanks again to those who came along to the shows and bought CDs. During this trip, \u2018Fell on Hard Times\u2019 again received airplay on Bob Harris\u2019s Radio 2 show and has become one of the most played tracks on his Saturday show.<\/p>\n

\nApril 13th \u2013 For the biggest concert of the spring tour, I made a very special appearance atNorwich\u2019s wonderful Playhouse Theatre in aid of\u00a0Norwich\u00a0Samaritans and recorded by BBC Radio\u00a0Norfolk. Thanks to all of you who came to the concert making it such a great success. Huge thanks also to those who purchased the limited edition single \u2018Be Around\u2019 which also raised money for\u00a0Norwich\u00a0Samaritans. London\u2019s Borderline Kicks off Spring Tour ~ Headline Shows in The Netherlands<\/strong>
\nI kicked off my spring tour with a return to\u00a0London\u2019s prestigious Borderline on Monday March 6th. I opened for singer-songwriter and classic blues-orientated guitarist Snowy White.\u00a0Snowy\u2019s\u00a0timeless song \u2018Bird of\u00a0Paradise\u2019,\u00a0became an international hit and he has also played with Pink Floyd, Peter Green and Thin\u00a0Lizzy. After the Borderline, I did dates at Aldershot West End Arts Centre, Canterbury\u00a0Gulbenkian\u00a0Theatre and\u00a0Bristol\u00a0Folkhouse\u00a0as a special guest on tour with highly regarded singer-songwriter Keith James. \nLost Again has made the top 50 of Americana UK\u2019s best albums of 2005 list.
