Latest Music Column, ‘Time to Grow’ Video on YouTube

sep column

Happy September! My latest column is in the Evening News and as well as talking about my new video ‘Time to Grow’, there’s lots of cool gigs coming up including one of my favourite songwriters Boo Hewerdine coming to the Octagon Chapel in Norwich and Uke East, a ukulele festival at Norwich Arts Centre. Being a ukulele lover I’m looking forward to that.

I also talked about some great music workshops and masterclasses that I recently attended for Musical Keys at Create Norwich and also Take Note Summer School at The Garage. Really inspiring stuff!

Thanks so much for the kind words about my new video. ‘Time to Grow’ is now also on YouTube so really appreciate any watches and shares.

New Single ‘Dreaming in Crowds’ Out Now!

redlogo

Out now! The new single ‘Dreaming in Crowds’ available via Bandcamp plus new video coming too! Single produced by Jeff Hill, photography by Claudia Taveira Photography.

“The production quality is superlative..’Dreaming In Crowds’ is a gently flowing harmonic beauty with a kind of Carole King feel, without in any way sounding like the legendary singer-songwriter.” Maverick Magazine ****

“the crown jewel on this new EP. Dreaming In Crowds is a real singer/songwriter song. It has depth, both in lyrics and arrangement and tells a heartfelt story in which everyone will recognize something.” Inner Ear Media, The Netherlands

Another Gorgeous Christmas Video and Lovely Review

To keep you feeling festive, here’s another gorgeous new video of my Christmas cover ‘I Believe in Father Christmas’ this time with a New York feel. Huge thanks to Claudia Taveira Photography.

Here’s also a lovely review of  the beautifully nostalgic Sessions Productions video from Alphabet Bands. Huge thanks to them both for their great support.
Big thanks to Sessions Productions and Alphabet Bands for all the support.

Excellent new review for ‘Reminders’ from Maverick Magazine

Brilliant new review of the ‘Reminders’ ep. Thanks to the excellent Maverick Magazine. A thrill to be compared to one of my songwriting heroes, Carole King!

‘I was taken aback at the maturity in both her vocals and songwriting…The production quality is superlative, the songs exceptionally well-written, especially the opening “Reminders” with the intuitive lyrics. “Dreaming In Crowds” is a gently flowing harmonic beauty with a kind of Carole King feel, without in any way sounding like the legendary singer-songwriter. Here’s a young lady who’s blossomed into a mighty fine singer-songwriter deserving of the widest possible recognition. I think it’s time that she took the plunge and recorded a full album with similar quality songs and production as this … it would be a world-beater.’
