Always love this time of year and been keeping very busy and creative here in Manhattan. Been to some some really cool and inspiring music and film events including the launch of the Tribeca Film Festival which debuted the new Cameron Crowe documentary film ‘The Union’ (this was then followed by a live solo appearance by Sir Elton John himself who started the set with two perennial favourites and classics ‘Tiny Dancer’ and a song I’ve been to known to perform ‘Rocket Man’). Also saw The Swell Season Movie and was moved all over again by the heartfelt and passionate music of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglov.
Last night was at a taping of VH1’s ‘Storytellers’ with Ray LaMontagne. Amazing sound, great band and highlights included a really cool version of one of my favourite Neil Young’s classics ‘Out on the weekend’. There’s just so much to inspire you here!
More news and videos to come, in the meantime check out a cool interview and feature in the May edition of ‘VoluME’ magazine all about live album ‘Lisa Redford Live’. Direct link is here

‘Woke up it was a Chelsea morning and the first thing that I saw..
Was the sun through yellow curtains, and a rainbow on the wall..’
Hey everyone from Chelsea, NY!
Back here in my US base after a busy March. Paris shows were so much fun and I also did my first ever gig playing electric! (picture above).
I also did a lovely radio session for Brooklands Radio where I played 3 songs live and chose some of my musical inspirations. Plus I received more orders for the signed live CD. Thanks so much!!
The highlight was playing a lovely show at St John’s Church in Farncombe, Surrey where I was also invited to sing with the amazing US artist Eve Selis. I have played a few shows in the past with Eve and she is such a terrific and inspiring performer. It was an honour to sing 2 songs with her, the beautiful lilting traditional song ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ and the incredible ‘Hallelujah’
Paris and New Videos!
Had a wonderful time in sunny Paris. Photos are at my facebook page
Here is ‘Love you Anyway’ from Cafe L’E’tabli
I also had so much fun singing harmonies with my talented singer/songwriter friend Elsa Siugo. We did cool live versions of the wonderful Ryan Adams songs ‘When the Stars go blue’ and ‘Oh my Sweet Carolina’ ~ videos to come at the youtube channel

From Brooklands Radio:
‘There’s another chance to hear last Monday’s show with David Durant and his studio guest Lisa Redford, an English singer song-writer currently living in New York. During her visit to her motherland she took some time out to visit the Brooklands Radio studios for a one hour session which we bring you tonight. Here is what others have to say about this talented chanteuse: “one of our finest singer/songwriters” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2, “brilliant! Lisa has a great voice” Glenn Tilbrook, Squeeze, “In a sea of smart female singer-songwriters, Lisa Redford is an admiral.? Maverick Magazine, “There is a warmth and welcoming vibe to Redford?s music that really is difficult to resist.” Americana UK 8 out of 10.
Just back from playing a great show in Surrey where I was also invited to sing with the amazing US artist Eve Selis. It was an absolute joy!

Lisa Redford Live ~ Last Chance for Limited Edition Signed CD Copies!
Thanks so much for downloading my live album ‘Lisa Redford Live‘, this means such a lot. It contains 14 songs from my sold out homecoming show during my UK headline ‘Clouds with Silver’. I’ve often been asked in the past when I was going to release a live recording as I mostly perform solo and for me there is something really special and intimate about one person on stage and most of my favourite artists are solo performers too. The album also contains 2 brand new songs ‘Music and the Mountains’ and ‘Love Won’t Let Me Go’ which I plan to record for a future release.
Thanks also for the orders across Europe of the limited edition signed CD copies. If you would like to order one there is still a little time. They are £5 each (+£2 p&p) = £7 via Paypal. You can also obviously order from other countries but there will just be a very small currency conversion. If you would like one please e-mail and get in touch.
The album is also on Amazon, Emusic, Rhapsody Music, Spotify, Napster and iTunes:
All of my 5 of releases are at my Bandcamp page which includes 4 tracks from the ‘Acoustic Sessions’ album and 4 tracks from ‘Lisa Redford Live’. Please support me and independent music, all payments for songs go directly to my paypal 🙂 http://lisaredford.bandcamp.com/
My studio albums ‘Slipstream’, ‘Lost Again’ and ‘Clouds with Silver’ are available through Proper Distribution the UK’s biggest independent distributors.
