Had a great time playing two successive lovely Americana nights. I performed at Grapevine for Music at The Guildhall, who host regular showcases of great folk and country artists, and then on the following night supported I support the excellent duo, The Worry Dolls at OPEN, fresh from their recent AMA UK Award nomination. Also playing were the fabulous Morganway doing a special stripped down set.

“An easy and engaging manner between songs and wonderfully evocative, melancholic, wistful stories within them.” Thanks so much Richard Shashamané for this great review in his excellent Norwich music blog here. Superb photos too as always.

Full video of Lucinda Williams cover “Still I Long For Your Kiss” performed at OPEN. Love singing this great song:

Thanks to Connor Bannon for this cool photo from The Guildhall show:

Am all recovered from a great couple of days at the AMA-UK Conference and Awards and my review about my inspiring time there is in the Columns section of the site. Also been playing this sweet song from winning of Best International Album, Sam Outlaw and ‘Country Love Song.’

Very exciting that ‘Remember Me’ from ‘Another Place and Time’ is featuring on this weekend’s BBC Introducing! Lovely to have their support.

Bob&Lisa1958

Had an excellent day at the second The Americana Music Association UK conference and Maverick Festival It was inspiring to hear Mary Gauthier’s keynote speech about the art of song writing, very inspirational to an artist like myself.  It’s also always lovely catching up with Bob Harris!

After my debut album ‘Slipstream’ was reissued recently, I’m now excited that ‘Clouds with Silver’ has also been reissued with Proper Distribution. Described by Maverick Magazine as “a fantastic insight into a world of love, loss and changes” and Bob Harris as “a beautiful album” Check it out on iTunes

New French Song Appelle-moi, UK Festivals, Maverick and Latitude

Have had a great time performing at some big music events and festivals including Ipswich Music Day, one of the largest free one day music festivals in the UK. As well as enjoying some great music, I also ended up doing sets at Maverick Festival and Latitude Festival. I was also part of a panel during the Americana Music Association UK conference that went really well and I gained some great feedback after discussing the use of social media.
