I really hope that you’re all keeping safe and well during this unprecedented and difficult time. I’ve been using this time to be creative and written and recorded ‘From Afar’ at home. The heartfelt song is all about missing our loved ones during this difficult time. The song is only available to purchase at my Bandcamp store ~ thanks so much for listening and any support 💖 lisaredford.bandcamp.com/track/from-afar
I’ve also filmed a little music video at home in Norwich and at a beautiful village nearby during a quiet walk. Wesley is the gorgeous springer spaniel – my very able and well behaved co-star! Thank you so much for watching. Huge thanks to All Things Norfolk for this lovely feature
Behind the Song: Lisa Redford ‘Anything but Easy’ ~ I love to share my songwriting process and in this new video I’m talking about the inspiration, writing and recording of my first single from ‘Edge of Love’ Huge thanks to SW20 Country – Sounds of Nashville for all their support, it really means a lot. I also recently did a fun live-stream show for them ~ the video and other live-streams are at the Shows page.
Also for SW20 Country I recorded this lovely interview with the show:
I’ve also been enjoying learning and playing acoustic cover requests that I’ve received from fans and friends. Here’s the brilliant song ‘Crowded Table’ from The Highwomen.
Also playing this beautiful Neal Casal song ‘Moving on Without You’
As previewed in my recent columns for Norwich Evening News and All Things Norfolk, I’m really excited to share my brand new music video on Vimeo ‘Time to Grow’ filmed by Claudia Taveira Photography. Claudia has filmed a few lovely videos for me and also some wonderful photos. Check out her amazing photography on her blog here
Thanks to Stephen Foster for having me on his show. Ahead of my upcoming gig supporting Hazel O’Connor on Wednesday, which is sold out, my songs are being aired each evening this week between 6 and 7pm UK time!
Very exciting news! ‘Reminders’ was played on the legendary ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris show on BBC Radio 2 this weekend! It was lovely to hear Bob say that they love my music at the show and that there is a ‘fantastic warmth’ to my music. Coming from a radio legend like Bob, that’s truly an honour!
You can listen again online until this coming Saturday night by clicking the link below. I’m played between The Temper Trap and Judie Tzuke. Bob Harris Show
Plus here’s my very own page on the Bob Harris website with photos of Bob and I and it also lists other times I’ve been played on the show and been live in session. Lisa Redford’s Page at Bob Harris
Also big thanks to radio show Folkcast for featuring Summer on the L on their Summer Sizzler Podcast
